Kiln Dried Oak is generally considered one of the very best logs and much sought after. It burns fairly slowly with nice flames and produces excellent heat even when only embers are left. It is categorized as a heavy hard wood with a deep ridged dark brown bark and rougher to the touch. Per ton of kiln dried oak it produces over 5500 kwh of energy
